Special Edition: Prayers needed now.

Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you probably already know, Mike Cousineau was in a motorcycle accident last night (Friday evening). We are on Free Weekend at the school, which means we got out of school at noon on Friday. Mike left ICA just after lunch with two of the senior boys (DJ and Lance) on motorcycles to go to Bouna for the afternoon. He had the accident not too far from Bouna. Clint Morgan took him to Abidjan (3-4 hours away) to the hospital. Deleen was also taken to Abidjan from here about the same time. The latest report today says that Mike has a broken his collarbone and shoulder in 3 places. He also had bleeding from the ear. He had a CAT scan this morning, but they are still not sure what is causing it or haven't received the report yet. He is doing better but is in a lot of pain. Lynette Morgan is bringing DJ and Lance back up to Bouake tomorrow and will be staying with Kristina and Brook until Deleen returns. If all goes well, Mike could be out of the hospital on Wednesday. It is still uncertain right now. Please remember Mike and the rest of the family in prayer.
As for the rest of the week, it has been a good week. Most everyone was kind of tired and trying to recover from Penny Fair and the musical. Free Weekend was a nice break. I have been trying to catch up on some much-needed rest and sleep this weekend.
It is finally my turn to have the tailor, so I am getting some new stuff made for my classroom. He already has the curtains finished. I'm getting some chairs recovered and getting cushions made for the kids’ chairs. I think their chairs are terribly uncomfortable and can't blame them for not wanting to stay in them. Hopefully this will help. With this and the new paint job my class got over break, it should look really nice. This is one of the benefits of living in Africa. You can get all of this done for relatively inexpensive. It has taken me a year and a half to start really getting my classroom the way I would like it.
I'm going to keep this one short so I can get it out in tonight's email. Have a great week.
In Christ,
Traci
