Dear Friends and Family,
Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mother's out there. I know this has been a trying and devastating week for many of you who receive this newsletter. My kids have been praying everyday this week for all those who were affected by the tornadoes. We were able to get some of the CNN News Reports about it off the satellite TV.

Life is picking up speed around here. This week was another busy one. Middle School Petit Poteau intramurals were going on everyday after school this past week and will continue this week. Friday night was the Sports Banquet. Senior Play practice has begun. They will be performing Les Miserables this year. The staff ladies played the high school girls' volleyball team. We lost, of course.

Prayer Request:
Remember Dave Shady (Dorm dad in Bethlehem- HS girls' dorm) - He returned home to spend a few weeks with his mother who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and isn't expected to live long. Remember Rachael and Bernadetter Miller (Student) and family - They returned home about a week ago because their grandmother isn't expected to live.

Continue to pray for our staff needs for next year. We still have many openings.

Pray for the HS Choir as they travel to Abidjan next weekend to perform.

Pray for the unrest in the country. The university students around the country have been going on strike for the last couple of weeks. In some areas they have caused some destruction. It is usually done on a scheduled day so we know when to stay out of town. So far, Bouake has been quiet. Another rally is supposed to happen on Tuesday. Several stores in town have boarded up their windows and will probably be closed on Tuesday. The President has also closed all of the schools in the country a couple of times on the days the rallies are supposed to take place. Pray that the students and the government will get all of the issues settled soon. Thanks for your prayers and support, and for all of you in Oklahoma, our prayers are with you.

In Christ,
Traci
