Issue #28

Dear Friends and Family,
This has been a good week at ICA. All of our staff have finally arrived to start the year. Larry Charter and the Marines both arrived on Friday to take their places back in their dorms. Of course, we are still waiting for an unexpected music teacher to appear from somewhere.
This coming week is Spiritual Emphasis Week (SEW). There is a team coming out from the States to do it. They are supposed to arrive in country on Monday, come up to Bouake on Tuesday, and SEW starts on Tuesday night. Pray for the team's health and that they will not be too tired. Pray that kid's lives will be changed. The pre-schoolers - 5th grade will meet separately from the middle school and high school. I may be doing music for it. I haven't heard for sure yet. They just told me to be ready. We aren't sure what the team is doing until the get here.
Grace Lee, the girl I mentioned last week who broke her leg for the second time, fell this weekend and hurt the other leg, too. Pray for her healing and for patience during this time when she can't get around. (There is a lot of walking to be done around this campus.)
Girls' and guys' volleyball is starting up. Teams were selected last week. I'm not sure when the first match is. The usually play the schools in town, but sometimes it is hard to find teams to play. Pray that they will be able to find teams.
Evangelism Explosion (E.E.) started today. This is when a group of high school students that have been trained how to share the Gospel through the E.E. outline go out into local neighborhoods and share. Pray that they will be able to lead many people to Christ as they go out each Sunday afternoon.
Have a great week! Thanks so much for your prayers!
In Christ,
Traci
