Dear Friends and Family,
As usual it is a busy time here at ICA. Last week was pretty calm. The weekend was were the busyness hit.
Friday night activity was a game of human bingo. It was a lot of fun. Each person had a blank bingo card. They put their name in the middle square. Then they had to go around the room and get other people to put their names in squares until the card was filled. After that it was pretty much like regular bingo except they were calling out names instead of letters and numbers. One of my students from last year who was sitting next to me one the big prize. He was so excited.
Saturday was a shopping extravaganza. I took some of the new people around to places were they could by souvenirs to send home for Christmas. We spent so much time on that that I didn't even get my grocery shopping done. Saturday evening was the "Fun Female Frolic." This was a chance for middle school and high school girls to have a fun time with the women staff. This was the first time this had been done. It was a great time. I think they will do it again.
Sunday morning was the usual Sunday School and church. In the afternoon, we had our first village outreach of the year. We went to a local village just outside of Bouake. The entire group sang. The Evangelism Explosion kids went into the neighborhood to witness. The medical team cleaned up cuts and sores. There were at least 5 who accepted Jesus yesterday. Last night Student Senate was in charge of the evening service. Their theme was "Joy." It was a good service.
Today starts a new week with lots of things to do. This next Sunday night the elementary is in charge of the evening service. I am supposed to be coordinating. I have no idea what we are doing yet, so I have lots to do this week. I'm also taking most of my class for ice cream this week because they have read a certain number of books in the reading contest.
Please continue to pray that the container will arrive soon. Also, continue to pray for Dan Grudda as he is still having problems with a migraine.
Thanks!
