Dear Friends and Family,
Life in Africa is going well. The days are getting warmer, but occasional rains are still coming to give us a little cooler weather. We are now in the last month of school, and the kids are getting a bit antsy and ready for vacation. I can't say that I blame them.

Christmas is already making its appearance around here. We start early since the kids are gone for all of December. Several dorms decorated this weekend.

Friday was a big day for my class. I owed them two parties, one for the reading contest and one for filling the marble jar for good behavior. We had an art activity on Friday afternoon. Actually it was Science, but they don't have to know that. Then we started the party right after school. We concluded it by having pizza. It is amazing just how much pizza those kids can eat. An exact quote from one of the kids, "But I've only had six pieces!" Of course as one of them was helping me return things after the party, his words were with a slight groan, "I don't think I'm going to eat that much anymore."

This is going to be a week of traveling. I leave on Wednesday to go to Abidjan to get my passport renewed, and then it is on to Field Council. I will be gone almost a week. I'm not trying to get everything ready for a substitute. It is a lot of work to be gone and that's not to mention the pile I'll have when I get back.

Hope you all are doing well!

In Christ,

Traci
