Dear Friends and Family,
"Does anyone have a jacket?" "I'm freezing." "How cold is it anyway?" These are unusual statements to hear in Africa, but there were lots of these and similar statements Friday night at the Valentine's Banquet. The banquet was held outside. In the strange weather that we have been having, dry season has come back. It is getting quite cool in the nights and mornings. In the afternoon, it still gets hot, but as soon as the sun goes down the chill creeps in. The banquet was still funny because everyone was so cold, and in all actuality it was probably in the high 60's or low 70's outside. The girls at my table were convinced the temperature had to be close to freezing. Even though it was a bit cool everyone had a good time, and the food was great!

This afternoon we had Outreach practice. There will be a large group of high school students, some staff, and a group from Ohio going to Korhogo in about 4 weeks for a big evangelistic campaign. We are now having practices to learn the songs. There are also groups working on puppets, Evangelism Explosion, drama presentations, etc. This weekend is being announced on the radio in Korhogo. It is possible there could be around a thousand people at some of the meetings. This is also going to be a good time to meet with the Christian young people in this area.

This will be a week of little sleep and much work for many people on campus. One of the biggest weekends of the year is upon us, Penny Fair, and elementary musical. The campus will undergo a transition this week from a school to an amusement park. Most of the kids' parents will be arriving toward the end of the week. There will be a lot of excitement in the air.

Prayer Request:
* Pray for the freshmen and sophomores and their sponsors as they are busy getting ready for Penny Fair.

* Pray for all the parents that will be traveling to come to the school this weekend. It is at least a two day drive for some parents. Pray that they will be safe, kept from any problems, and not be hassled by the police.

* Pray for me and all the elementary kids as we are trying to get the musical ready for next Sunday.

* Pray for Outreach Weekend. Pray for the team that is coming from Ohio, for the groups as the prepare their presentations and everyone as they are learning the songs. Pray for all of the arrangements that are being made here and in Korhogo. Pray that all of the equipment will work properly. Pray that hearts will be opened and lives changed.

Thanks for all your prayers and support. Hope you all have a great week, and Happy Valentine's Day.
In Christ,
Traci Epps
