Praise Item:
We all praise God this morning that Nathaniel Forsythe, 2 year old, was found in Katiola (45 minutes from Bouake) and reunited with his parents. Travis Forsythe, Southern Baptist missionary living in Dabakala, was in Bouake last night at Poulet Show (Chicken Restaurant) when his vehicle was stolen at gun point with his son in it. Travis was shot in the side but is doing okay. There were some very tense hours before they were called by the American Embassy with the news that he had been found in Katiola. The police had an African woman take care of him (bathed him, fed him, and changed his clothes, etc). Knowing it was an American child, they called the American Embassy in Abidjan who informed Travis. He was sleeping and unharmed when they got to Katiola to pick him up in the night. Two other Southern Baptists families have come to be with them. Continue to pray for the family who will take awhile to recover from this trauma. Mrs. Forsythe, who is expecting, was alone in Dabakala with their daughter all night while this was happening. They have gone to get her this morning. Mrs. Forsythe has also been on bed rest for the last 5 days because of complications with the pregnancy.
In Christ,
Traci Epps
